Every major running watch brand has an iPhone app, and every one of them can write workouts to Apple Health. Once they do, Runtile and any other Health based app can read your runs.

Coros

  1. Open the COROS app.
  2. Tap Profile, then 3rd Party Apps.
  3. Tap Apple Health and turn it on.
  4. Allow Workouts and Heart Rate in the Apple Health sheet.

Polar

  1. Open Polar Flow.
  2. Tap your profile, then Settings.
  3. Tap Connect, then Apple Health.
  4. Turn on Training sessions and Heart rate, then allow.

Suunto

  1. Open the Suunto app.
  2. Tap your profile, then Partner services.
  3. Tap Apple Health and connect.
  4. Allow Workouts in the Apple Health sheet.

Avoid the Strava detour

Strava writes to Health only what the Strava app itself recorded. Runs that reach Strava from a Coros, Polar or Suunto watch are not forwarded, so the brand app above is the way.

One recorder per run

If you also start an Apple Watch workout for the same run, Health gets two entries. Runtile merges runs that overlap in time, keeping the one with more distance, and lists what it merged in Settings, Duplicates.

Questions

Do these apps sync past runs?

Generally only new activities from the moment you connect. Check each app; some offer a one time sync of recent history.

My runs show twice in Health.

Two apps are writing the same run, usually the watch app plus Strava or Apple Watch. Turn off one, or let Runtile merge them.
